Update from Kinder Morgan on resuming work

This is the latest from Kinder Morgan. They are not sending work crews today (Tuesday), but Lisa Clement couldn't say about tomorrow, and it's not clear they would tell me anyway, since I doubt they want a media spectacle on the mountain.

Meanwhile, protesters are maintaining their presence on Centennial Way and in the bush. There was a dozen or so there this morning, and some are sleeping in the park overnight.

Keep an eye on our site for updates.

Here's the Trans Mountain notice:

Update to Works Planned for Burnaby Mountain

BURNABY, BC (November 18, 2014): Trans Mountain is hopeful individuals occupying Burnaby Mountain will respect the order  delivered to protestors November 17 and exercise their rights to express their views in a peaceful and lawful manner, while allowing our team to get the work completed. We believe it is possible for people to protest and express themselves while we commence our field studies safely.

Trans Mountain has been in communication with Burnaby RCMP to work on plans for safely bringing crews on to Burnaby Mountain. Enforcement of the injunction granted by the BC Supreme Court is the responsibility of the RCMP and Trans Mountain plans to resume work once it has been determined safe for our workers.

We have conducted numerous workshops and open houses, met with thousands of people and continue to respond to questions daily.  The feedback we have received to date has made our project better. The tunnel option through Burnaby Mountain is a result of two-and-a-half year’s consultation with the community, their request to see the existing pipeline rerouted and our objective to minimize disruptions to landowners, neighbours, and park and road users.
