Writer is deluded on political opinions in B.C

DEAR EDITOR:

Re: Usual socialist suspects, Letters to the Editor, Burnaby NOW, Nov. 9.

There is little use in reasoning with someone as deluded as your correspondent from Victoria, but that he holds up Bill Vander Zalm as an astute politician requires comment.

I believe Vander Zalm is the one that saddled us with the SkyTrain, a system that is so costly that it will never, ever pay for itself, let alone turn a profit.

We are locked into doing business with a company (Bombardier) that although heavily subsidized by the Canadian taxpayer, is moving its operation to Mexico.

This may have been a bigger boondoggle than the Liberals giving away B.C. Rail.

Mr. Perry says he is old, and since he is anti-socialist, I hope he is refusing to accept his socialist-inspired Canada pension and his subsidized medication.
