Is it just me or do landlords like to play favourites when it comes to tenants? I've been renting from a Burnaby (North) apartment building for a couple of years now and have had so much trouble with the tenant next to me. According to others, this tenant has been a problem for several years but management routinely does nothing about it.

This tenant is constantly noisy at all hours of the night - sometimes throwing tantrums for seemingly no reason at all, playing loud music, the list goes on and on - and into the wee hours of the morning. Even with audio-recorded proof, management does nothing and accuses those complaining of lying.

Or, their other answer is, "If you don't like it, leave."

Um, maybe try resolving the problem instead of siding with them when there is ample evidence that proves otherwise.
The almost regular noise emitting from this neighbouring unit has caused me and others to lose sleep, to call in sick to work, and even take days without pay. It's really beginning to affect my health. But hey, the rest of us are the problem, right?
I am so sick of tenants who couldn't care less about their neighbours and think they can behave as atrociously as this and get away with it, and equally as sick of landlords who do nothing and sit by and let it happen.
