I would like to do a shout out to the many wonderful volunteers who help maintain the Confederation Seniors Centre here is Burnaby. These are remarkable women and men, some of the most dedicated are 96 and 97 years old and they have been volunteering for decades. Their energy and enthusiasm is truly inspiring.
Whether they are helping to prepare and serve lunches each day, or organizing the many group activities offered there, or calling members on their birthday to wish them a happy birthday, they help keep people’s spirits up. They bring their knowledge, wisdom and vitality, and make this corner of the world a better place.
I am a very grateful recipient of their good works and look forward to being able to see them all again in the future.
