Editor:

Can someone please tell me what the point is of having an interesting “waterfall spouting fountain” structure (at Willingdon Linear Park) that is not community user-friendly? When the water “falls,” it splashes the large stone monuments below and no one has any access to the water, except for the puddles it creates. Was it meant to be like this?  There are many children in the area that I am sure would love the fun of having an accessible waterfall to play under.  As we currently are on water restrictions, maybe this water should be conserved?

I think this structure should be either redesigned to make it more community user-friendly or shut them off. It is sad to see such a waste of water.
