People should be wary of believing so-called "self-media" on the likes of Chinese language social media site WeChat, according to Richmond News editor Eve Edmonds.

Eve Edmonds’ column about fake news being spread should be considered minor compared to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Liberals giving major news media $600 million worth of taxpayers dollars.

CBC is supported with over a billion dollars a year and most Canadians think it is a blatent shill for the Liberal Party that supports it. CBC is Canada’s own version of Pravda news in Russia, which is completely biased.

Why is the government supporting only Liberal-approved media? Why is the government supporting any media at all, as it undermines fair and unbiased reporting holding governments to account.

If you are concerned about “fake news” you really should be questioning our government’s involvement in supporting Liberal-approved media. Liberals now have their eyes on censoring social media. Orwell’s 1984 is here, folks.
