Burnaby photographer Glen Govier was trying to capture a local barred owl with his camera recently, but wasn’t having any luck. So, he told me via email, he took a break and headed over the Piper Spit at Burnaby Lake.

The good news is: Some of the goodies B.C. Ferries used to provide have been restored and many of the service cuts are being reversed. The bad news is: This is all going to cost a lot of money.

Editor: I am wondering how many times the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion has to be approved before it is “approved.” I think what is going on is ridiculous and an abuse of process.

The double loss suffered by the B.C. government in the latest round of paper-shuffling over the people’s pipeline doesn’t seem to bother cabinet much.
