Dear Editor Kudos, thanks and appreciation to Burnaby parks board and city council, for the upgrading work already done, and on-going, in Richmond Park, directly behind our fabulous new Edmonds Community Centre.

One of the more intriguing demands by those opposing the Site C dam is that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau step in and block its construction, using the argument that the dam infringes First Nations' rights and poses environmental risk.

The premier has accepted the lengthy list of recommendations aimed at firming up government transparency in the wake of the “triple-delete” email scandal – as if these were things that should have to be spelled out to begin with.

Dear Editor I had a dream the other night, and as the dream unfurled, Mr. Obama spoke on TV, with a message for the world. He said that he believed that property was not something that should only be owned by individuals.

On Dec. 17, Kinder Morgan Canada stood before the National Energy Board to present our case for the multibillion-dollar expansion of the Trans Mountain Pipeline system.

Enough with the resolutions you won’t keep. If you haven’t quit smoking for all the health reasons we all know, the magic date of Jan.1 is probably not going to suddenly spur you into becoming a non-smoker.

Dear Editor While W.A.C. Bennett was a man of foresight for our province his son Bill, in my humble opinion, was not in the same league. How soon we have forgotten the Doman Scandal involving Bill Bennett and the boondoggle of the B.
