Dear Editor: Re: Jordan wants papers, Burnaby NOW, June 21. I was pleasantly surprised to read you were addressing SkyTrain construction's excessive spending.

It was a good news story as far as open windows and children go. Last week a passerby in New York caught a child as the child plunged from an apartment balcony two storeys above.

Dear Editor: It's welcome news that the premier has rescinded the large pay increases for political staff appointed by individual cabinet ministers.

Dear Editor: Re: Jane Shin speaks, Burnaby NOW, May 24. I find it disconcerting that no one has picked up on something significant and very revealing in what Jane Shin said to reporter Jennifer Moreau regarding her candidate biography.

Dear Editor: Re: Get over issues with Shin, Letters to the editor, Burnaby NOW, June 5. Barbara Ruebottom is missing the point(s).

It's a long time to wait - 40 years. But we suspect their wait is far from over - if it will ever be over. The arts community in Burnaby was fairly optimistic several decades ago when a new art gallery was a priority and plans had been prepared.

I have to agree with Pat Tracy's column of June 14, Another reason to distrust journalists, although I will add another dimension of concern.

Dear Editor: Re: Nurses blast Fraser Health for wheelchair charge plan, June 19. I'm sure in any other jurisdiction, this would be something of a record; cabinet had only been officially sworn into office for a single day and already the B.C.

While many of our fellow citizens labouring with disabilities do very well for themselves, it's pretty safe to say that people who require wheelchairs to get around are coming from a point of disadvantage when it comes to earning a regular income.
