Bronze for peewee Lakers

The Burnaby minor lacrosse association can show off a provincial bronze medal, after a solid performance earlier this month by the squad’s peewee C team.

The Burnaby minor lacrosse association can show off a provincial bronze medal, after a solid performance earlier this month by the squad’s peewee C team.
By beating Ridge Meadows 5-3, Burnaby captured the third-place result at the provincial tournament, held in Delta two weeks ago.
The team posted a 2-1-1 record during pool play, before falling 5-4 to Campbell River in the semifinal.
Earning the squad’s Warriors Fair Play Award was Ethan Lewis, while Milan
Paulic earned an all-star honour.
In boys bantam A provincial play, Burnaby opened with a 9-4 win over Delta
but couldn’t secure a second win during the tourney. Ryden Evers was named to both the Fair Play Award list and the all-star team.
At the female provincials, Hayden Kok received a pair of honours while leading her peewee team at the tourney. She was named the Fair Play recipient and to the all-star team.
Nina Peloso picked up the Bantam A Fair Play Award and teammate Katherine Khaedhiar was chosen as an all-star.
