John Gallacher of Burnaby placed ninth at the Canadian amateur senior men's golf championships.

John Gallacher of Burnaby finished in a tie for ninth place at the recent Canadian men’s senior golf championships.

Gallacher, who won his second B.C. seniors title earlier this summer, tied with provincial counterpart Doug Roxburgh with three-round totals of 218 at the Desert Blume Golf Club in Medicine Hat, Alta. on Sept. 4.

Gallacher carded even-round 72s through 36 holes, before completing the championship with a two-over-par 74.

Jack Hall of Savannah, Georgia won the senior men’s title with a seven-under score of 209, beating Americans Paul Simson and Pat Thompson by a single stroke.

David Schultz was the highest-scoring Canadian, placing fourth overall with a one-under 215 following a final-round at par.
