Led by freshman Isaac Lee's first team selection, the Simon Fraser University men's golf team placed four student-athletes on the 2018-19 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Men's Golf All-Conference team.

Joining Lee on the podium are juniors Sy Lovan and Scott Kerr and freshman Aidan Goodfellow as second team selections.

In his first year of collegiate competition, Lee earned a top-10 finish at five tournaments, including a victory at the Dixie State Regional Preview in October against a field of 135 golfers. The native of Seoul, South Korea has played in 26 rounds this season and leads the team with a 73.4 strokes per round average.

At the 2019 GNAC championships last week, Lee was SFU's second-highest finisher (t-7th) with rounds of 71, 73, 72 for a three-over-par total of 216.

Joining Lee on the All-Conference Team are second-team selections Goodfellow, Lovan and Kerr. A freshman, Goodfellow found his stride at the right time to earn a share of second place at the Hanny Stanislaus Invite. The Parksville native then followed it up with a team-high fourth-place tie at the conference championships. He carded 71, 75, 69 for a three-round total of 215 (+2).

Lovan played in all nine of the Clan's tournaments this season and secured four top-10 finishes. He is averaging 73.8 strokes per round. Meanwhile, Kerr owns a 74.3 strokes average and his best result came at the Stanislaus Invitational where he finished in a tie for 10th. Both golfers have been strong leaders for the younger players throughout the 2018-19 campaign.

Simon Fraser now awaits the announcement of the NCAA Div. 2 championships field, which is scheduled for April 26. The team is currently ranked 17th nationally and sixth in the West Region, putting them in good position to earn a selection to the West/South Central Regional, beginning May 9 in St. George, Utah.
