Dynamo emerge third at Richmond meet

The Burnaby Dynamo swim club took part in an anniversary swim meet last week in Richmond, resulting in a bevy of medals. The club finished with 12 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze, putting it third out of nine teams at the event.

The Burnaby Dynamo swim team jumped into the pool last week and emerged with the third-best point total, including 12 individual gold medals.

The Burnaby Dynamo swim club took part in an anniversary swim meet last week in Richmond, resulting in a bevy of medals.

The club finished with 12 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze, putting it third out of nine teams at the event.

Accounting for half the team’s gold haul were 11-year-old Savo Kostic, with first-place results in 50-metre freestyle, 100m breaststroke and 400m individual medley, and 17-year-old Danial Moghadam, with wins in 50 and 100m free and 50m butterfly.

Also capturing their events were Stephanie Minceva, 12, in 200m fly; Richard Jiang, 12, in 50m free; Luca Nicola, 11, in 50m backstroke; Shaina Rajwani, 13, in 50m breast; Joseph Skinder, 10, in 400m free, and Satvika Suresha, 11, in 50m breast.
