It's going to be another interesting summer for Burnaby's Massimo Rizzo.

The Penticton Vees captain was among a host of B.C. Hockey League players listed by NHL Central Scouting in preparation for the June NHL Entry Draft, which will be hosted by the Vancouver Canucks.

Rizzo was the fifth player from the junior A circuit listed, ranked 84th overall among North American skaters. The five-foot-10 centre counted 11 goals and 29 assists in 37 games as a second-year player with the venerable Okanagan franchise. In 90 games, including three as a raw rooke in 2016/17, Rizzo tallied 24 goals and 55 assists, while tallying eight times and setting up nine others over 24 playoff games.

A product of the Burnaby Winter Club, Rizzo played for Canada at last fall's World Junior A Challenge.

His ranking is considered to be a possible third or fourth round prospect.

Rizzo has committed to the University of North Dakota for the coming season.

The top junior A prospect played in Victoria. Alex Newhook, originally from St. John's, Newfoundland, was ranked 13th overall among North American skaters.

The NHL Entry Draft goes June 21 and 22 at Rogers Arena.
