The Burnaby Judo Club brought back four medals from the 2012 nationals last week. Daniel Kim won the under-15 boys' under-38 kilogram gold medal with a one-point decision over Quebec's Ricardo Scremin by Yusei-gashi.

Blake Tsuyuki also won gold in the u-60kg senior men's division.

Ignacio Rodriguez took silver in the men's heavyweight class, while Gabriela De Sousa and Sandra Hewson took bronze in their respective age and weight classes.

At the U.S. junior judo nationals, Amara Jarvinen also won a gold for the Burnaby club.

LACROSSE CAMP

Sea to Sky Lacrosse stars Kevin Crowley, Jordan McBride and Kyle Belton will be putting on a weeklong camp at Queen's Park from July 23 to 26.

The camp is open to tyke, novice, peewee and bantam-aged players keen on honing their field lacrosse skills by three of the best up-and-coming young field and box stars.
