International elite hockey is coming to Burnaby, but unless you already have a ticket you are out of luck.

In preparation for the International Ice Hockey Federation’s World Junior under-20 hockey championships, an exhibition tilt is coming to the Bill Copeland Sports Complex this Sunday, with Russia playing Switzerland.

The contest, part of an 12-game exhibition touring series called the Lordco Auto Parts Road to the World Juniors, was a quick sellout at the 2,000-seat venue on Kensington Avenue.

According to Sport Burnaby, no tickets remain for the event. Junior hockey fans wishing to catch some pre-tourney action can venture outside the community, to games in Langley, Vancouver and Chilliwack, where at press time tickets were still available.

Langley is hosting two games (Dec. 19, Denmark vs. Finland; Dec. 22, U.S. vs. Czech Republic), while Chilliwack is hosting one (Dec. 22, Sweden vs. Denmark).

Vancouver’s Rogers Arena is playing host to the final exhibition game, Dec. 23, between Canada and Finland.
