On Nov. 13, petroleum analysts predicted that residents of the Lower Mainland would see a significant drop in gas prices later in the week.

In fact, Dan McTeague, a senior petroleum analyst with GasBuddy.com, tweeted about the drop in pricing, stating that they would be the lowest since Jan. 4.

Before this happens, however, there’d be a one-cent increase rise at the pumps on Nov. 14. Following this, he said Thursday will see a six-cent drop, which would make gas prices the lowest since Jan. 4.

Gas Prices

On March 22, gas prices in the province broke a previous record from 2014, when they reached $1.559 per litre.

They broke records again in October, with a number of Lower Mainland stations showing as high as $163.9 cents per litre.
