Utility company employs 200 people at new call centre in Willingdon Park

Company challenged by the downturn in the U.S. economy but looking forward to a good year in 2012

Burnaby-based Williams and White Machine Inc. has twice the chance of winning at the Small Business B.C. Successful You Awards this year.

Burnaby residents can now grab a little cash at the theatre or before their workout at city facilities. Three ATMs have been installed in the city, one each at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, city hall, and Bonsor Recreation Centre.

The annual Realtors Care blanket drive - which ran from Nov. 28 to Dec. 5, 2011 throughout the Lower Mainland, including Burnaby - helped 19,000 people this year, according to a press release from the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver.

ZAG founder Steve Curtis - raised in Burnaby from the age of seven - did not take the typical path to the top. His company is a diverse conglomerate of many businesses, ranging from health products to marketing, and represents Curtis's many facets.
