Former school trustee Helen H. S. Chang is running for mayor on a promise to address hate crimes and accountability in Burnaby.

She laid out her positions during an interview broadcast live on the NOW’s Facebook page.

Chang received less than five per cent of the vote when she last ran for mayor in 2014.

By running for mayor, rather than council where she has never had a seat, Chang said she is able to directly challenge incumbent Derek Corrigan on a host of issues.
