Mike Hurley has picked up another union endorsement for mayor of Burnaby ahead of this Saturday’s civic election.
The United Steelworkers union is “encouraging all working people in Burnaby to support him,” according to a press release.
“People who get up every morning and go to work need a Mayor on their side. They need a Mayor who understands their issues and will go to bat for them. Mike Hurley will be that Mayor,” the union’s director, Stephen Hunt, said in the release.
The New Westminster and District Labour Council and Burnaby Teachers’ Association have also endorsed Hurley’s bid to unseat Derek Corrigan.
