The Burnaby Potters' Guild is hosting its annual ceramics sale on Saturday, June 11 at Lochdale Community Centre. Burnaby will also see theatre comedy and a car trunk sale this week.

Get ready for a busy week, Burnaby! Check out What-A-Theatre’s comedic episode of Golden Years Retirement Home and stroll through a farmers’ market filled with modern Japanese design.

What-A-Theatre: Golden Years Retirement Home, Adrenaline Rush

A comedic show produced by theatre group What-A-Theatre, written and directed by Myra Gusway, will delight an audience at Cameron Seniors’ Community Centre. This will be the company’s last play for the season, with productions returning in September.

All proceeds will be donated to the Burnaby Food Bank.

Burnaby Potters’ Guild spring sale

All kinds of handmade pottery, including sculptural and functional ceramics, and much more will be sold at the Burnaby Potters’ Guild annual spring pottery sale. Free parking, masks strongly recommended.

Car Trunk Sale at Bill Copeland Sports Centre

For a fun shopping experience, hie to the Bill Copeland Sports Centre for a garage sale in a parking lot. Find a great bargain as people sell their items from the trunks of their cars.

Eco-Centre Open House

Experience live music, get a free bag of compost (on a first-come, first-served basis) if you're a Burnaby resident, and even meet a falcon at the Burnaby Eco-Centre, the city's drop-off recycling facility.

Designers’ Market at Nikkei National Museum

The Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre is hosting a designers’ market at its bimonthly farmers’ market. In conjunction with their current exhibition, Japanese Design Today 100, which features modern Japanese design, this market will showcase a variety of Japanese designers and Japanese-inspired goods. Vendors include Temarimo and Ibis Trading Inc.
