Once Upon a Mattress onstage at Michael J. Fox Theatre April 22 to 24

A Burnaby resident is onstage in a new production at the Evergreen Cultural Centre. North Burnaby’s Julia Walmsley stars in Secrets of a Soccer Mom, which opens April 23 at the Coquitlam theatre.

Festival returns for 16th annual outing at Deer Lake Park on Aug. 8

Deer Lake Gallery is getting set to host a solo painting exhibition by Vancouver artist Joy Munt. World in Transit opens Saturday, April 11 with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m., and it will be on at the Burnaby Arts Council's gallery until May 2.

The artists of the Gamma Garage are throwing open their doors once again and inviting the community in for a weekend of art. The annual Gamma Garage art show is set for Saturday and Sunday, April 11 and 12.

Art lovers turned out at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts on the weekend for the Burnaby Artists' Guild's annual spring show and sale.
