An umbrella may be needed this Remembrance Day in Burnaby

Remembrance Day ceremonies in Burnaby will take place this weekend.

According to Weatherhood's early Nov. 11 forecast, those wishing to attend a service may likely want to bring an umbrella and a good rain jacket.

There's currently an above 90 per cent chance of rain for Saturday morning, Nov. 11.

The good news: it may be just light rain falling down as around 5 mm of precipitation is expected around the 11 a.m. hour when residents will observe and recognize military members.

Weatherhood says the rain will also fall amidst a mix of sun and clouds, coupled with northwesterly winds of 20 km/h.

Temperatures in Burnaby on Saturday may hover between 5°C and 10°C.

Meanwhile, Weatherhood is anticipating the rainfall to continue in the days leading up to Remembrance Day, including tonight, Nov. 6, with showers bringing down up to 10 mm.

Heavier rain may fall by Thursday, Nov. 9, also at a 90 per cent chance with up to 20 mm.
