Burnaby massage therapist charged with sexual assault

Burnaby resident Gudbjartur Bodhi Haraldsson, who works as a massage therapist in Surrey has been charged with sexual assault.

A Burnaby massage therapist has been charged with sexual assault and banned from providing any personal or professional therapeutic services to women while he is out on bail.

Gudbjartur Bodhi Haraldsson, who goes by Bodhi, was arrested on Nov. 25 and charged with sexual assault, according to a Surrey RCMP news release.

The charge is related to an alleged sexual assault on a female client during treatment at a clinic in the 13700 block of 96th Avenue in Surrey on Nov. 14, according to police.

Surrey RCMP released a photo of Haraldsson on Thursday in order to “further the ongoing investigation,” the release said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and request to speak with the special victim’s unit.

The College of Massage Therapists of B.C. lists Haraldsson’s place of practice as PainPRO Surrey Memorial at 13737 96th Ave., but his bio has been removed from that clinic’s website.
