Burnaby no longer holds 0% COVID-19 positivity rates as B.C. cases climb

The latest COVID-19 positivity rates for Burnaby from July 13 to 19, 2021.

COVID-19 cases are beginning to rise once again and Burnaby is seeing the effects. 

According to the COVID-19 Surveillance Dashboard for July 13 to 19, 2021, Burnaby no longer has a 0% positivity rate in any of its four quadrants. 

The data is released by the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC). 

Today (July 21), health officials reported the province saw another 78 new infections in the past day, for a new total of 148,641 cases since the pandemic began. 

With case counts hovering in the 30s weeks prior, case counts are heading upwards again. 

Data from July 6 to 12, 2021, saw Burnaby Noreast sit at a 0% positivity rate while, Northwest, Southwest and Northeast all were recorded at 1%.

  • Vaccination percentage of those 12 years and older: 86%
  • Vaccination percentage of those 18 years and older: 86%

BURNABY NORTHEAST

  • Case rate: 3
  • Positivity rate: 2%
  • Vaccination percentage of those 12 years and older: 82%
  • Vaccination percentage of those 18 years and older: 84%

BURNABY SOUTHWEST

  • Case rate: 1
  • Positivity rate: 1%
  • Vaccination percentage of those 12 years and older: 81%
  • Vaccination percentage of those 18 years and older: 83%

BURNABY SOUTHEAST
