Burnaby is ready to open its newest spray park at Wesburn Park, and you can come out to celebrate May 24.

The official opening will include fun, family-friendly activities such as bird house-making, Burnaby Art Gallery crafts and learning about bee condos.

Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley and the city's general manager of parks and recreation, Mary Morrison-Clark, will speak at the launch.

Rocky Point Ice Cream will be available for one scoop per person while quantities last.

Burnaby is in the midst of a years-long plan to upgrade many of its park's playgrounds.
