May 16 marks National Mimosa Day, and it’s just another reason for us to follow up our hearty breakfast with this brunch staple — be it a workday or not.

Although the celebratory day falls on a Tuesday workday this year, here’s a list of all the places in Burnaby to get your Mimosa fix any day of the week.

OEB Breakfast Co.

Want to taste paradise? As a Mother’s Day special, OEB in Brentwood is offering a limited-time tropical mimosa concoction on their menu until May 31 that you can treat yourself to this National Mimosa Day.

Their “Mom’osa” is priced at $10 and is a twist on the OG mimosa — coconut rum, sparkling wine and pineapple juice, garnished with shaved coconut and fresh pineapple.

Browns Social House

This restobar in Brentwood has a mimosa bar on its brunch menu, and we can’t expect anything better than that. With three options to choose from — classic; rosé (sparkling rosé and fresh pressed grapefruit); and just peachy (ruffian Prosecco, peach schnapps and fresh pressed orange) — the restaurant is serving up the booziest drinks to start your weekend.

Ricky’s Cafe

One of Burnaby’s favourite cafes — also in the Brentwood — area serves classic OJ, peach, strawberry or wildberry mimosas made from champagne and Tropicana premium juices. Pair one with one of their famous big breakfasts, and you’ll have yourself a merry day.
