A large police presence at a Burnaby apartment building Tuesday afternoon was sparked by reports of a man with a knife, according to Burnaby RCMP.
Officers were called to the 9500 block of Manchester Drive at 1:49 p.m., according to the detachment.
Multiple police vehicles descended on the building, and a 31-year-old man was arrested inside for assault with a weapon, police said.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
