Vancouver Island teen Zenaeh Edwards-Helgason, 17, was last seen on Dec. 19. Police are now looking for help identifying two men seen at a Burnaby hotel who might have information that could help find her.

Police on Vancouver Island are looking for help identifying two men, last seen at a Burnaby hotel, who might have information about a high-risk missing teen.

Zenaeh Edwards-Helgason, 17, was last seen on Dec. 19, according to the Saanich Police Department.

Investigators with the department believe she is in the Metro Vancouver area, where she was last seen wearing a white zip-up jacket, white pants, white and black shoes and a black backpack.

This week, police released photos of two men who might have information that could help find her.

“Both men were seen at a hotel in Burnaby, B.C. on Jan. 3, 2023,” stated a Saanich police news release. “We believe they have information to help police locate high-risk missing 17-year-old Zenaeh Edwards-Helgason.”

Under B.C.’s provincial policing standards, a “high-risk missing person” can be someone whose health or well-being may be in danger due to physical or mental illness, addictions, disability or age.

Zenaeh is described as five-foot-six, with an average build and black hair.

Anyone with information about the two men or Zenaeh is asked to contact their local police agency, the Saanich Police Department at 250-475-4321, or the Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
