Photos: Burnaby honours Remembrance Day

'They shall not grow old ... We will remember them.'

Burnaby honoured Remembrance Day at Confederation Park and Bonsor Park on Nov. 11.

The NOW was in attendance at Confederation Park, with a service hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion No. 148.

"They shall not grow old ... We will remember them," spoke the service leader.

North Burnaby Legion president Wilson Gurney emphasized the importance of honouring veterans.

“If it weren’t for the vets, we would not be here in this free country,” he told the NOW days before the ceremony.
