Moscrop Secondary eked out a 1-0 win over Burnaby North Secondary to take the Burnaby New Westminster School Athletic Association banner Friday.
The Vikings came into the match ranked number 1 after league play, but the Panthers held on for the upset at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex.
Both teams now play tomorrow (Tuesday) in the quarter finals of the AAA Fraser North Zone Championships, where eight teams will vie for three berths to the provincial championships at Burnaby Lake on Nov. 24 to 26.
In AA action, Cariboo Hill beat Byrne Creek 1-0 in another close battle at Burnaby Lake Friday.
