BLRC coach to head B.C. team

Burnaby Lake Rugby Club's defensive coach Jim Dixon was named the head coach of the B.C. senior men's provincial team. Dixon, originally from New Zealand, helped Burnaby Lake reach the finals of both the premier men's division and the Div. 1.

Burnaby Karate Academy won 11 individual division disciplines at the Karate B.C. provincial championships in Richmond last month. Dylan Robinson and Matt Ly both won gold in their respective 75 and 67kilogram weight class in kumite, or sparring.
