More than three times as many male drivers die on our roads as female drivers

Now we know how the federal Liberal government will take the first step to try and untangle the mess that is the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion approval process.

We couldn’t find just one topic to comment on because there’s so much going on out there in our community – so we’re giving thumbs up and thumbs down on a variety of topics.

Re: Anti-SOGI candidate to run for school board , NOW , Sept. 14 High school is always an awkward place. It’s a time when teenagers learn more about themselves and discover who they are. For those of us in Grade 12, it is a time of new challenges.

Imagine if a politician on Burnaby city council was convicted of a crime, such as sexually assaulting a teenage girl. Did you know that the rest of council and the public are powerless to force that politician off of council? It’s true.

One of the most common complaints I hear about trains on social media involves the condition of older SkyTrain cars. Usually it involves the lack of air flow, the smell, the crowded feel and the noise.

When I hear the words “I’m bored” spew out of one of my children’s mouths, I cringe, but I also welcome the challenge. Boredom is where creativity blooms.
