Letter: C.G. Brown pool will be missed

Facility’s women-only swim has been a valuable recreation asset to the community, reader says.

I am sorry to see C.G. Brown Memorial Pool close.

Its women-only swim on Sundays was wonderful. I taught my friend, a modest Muslim woman, to swim there and we enjoyed many belly laughs and a chance to be silly and splash around with other women.

I hope that Burnaby finds a new home for the women-only swim. It is very important for everyone to access leisure facilities in the city.
