Letter: "Crowded and busy" North Burnaby community centre needs a second gym

A Burnaby resident thinks the Confederation Community Centre should have two gyms with different offerings.

Dear Editor,

Re: The need for a second gym in the Confederation Park Community Centre plans, YES. I was at the current gym last night, and it was crowded and busy with little room between gym-goers to exercise.

The machines are extremely close together as if being squeezed in. If the two gyms could have different offerings, such as one for cardio machines and one for weights and strength machines, that would greatly benefit all users.

With a current budget of $127 million, might as well go for it.

Best,

Robin Wong
