The Editor, I was in the Westwood Liquor store on Oct. 15 around 7 p.m. Before I entered the store, I was surprised that masks were not mandatory since this is a government-owned business that should be leading by example.

Let’s get one thing clear. Many restaurants in Burnaby will not survive the next few months if conditions stay the way they are. Some of them have already closed or never reopened this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Look, I appreciate truck drivers and the role they play in society. They get the stuff we want to the places where they can be sold. I know truckers and their vehicles are important.
