Dear Editor, In the case of the Kinder Morgan pipeline the oil being shipped is for export to Asian markets, so the argument that we need it because we all drive cars and trucks is a hollow one.

The future of tenancy seems to be a strong likelihood for myself, along with other young adults in the Vancouver housing market.

We probably should have written this editorial in January – because that’s when it might have helped someone. But we didn’t. So, now we, like thousands of other folks in B.C.

I completely understand the frustration people feel when they are unable to reserve a campsite in one of our provincial parks. You've booked some vacation time, or maybe have simply left work early on a Friday to get a jump on the weekend.

In my last column, we saw stress as an essential part of our lives. It can be positive when it moves us to change and grow, but it affect our minds and bodies in negative ways when we are overwhelmed.

Dear Editor Re: Feds pitch in for transit projects, Burnaby NOW, June 17.

Kinder Morgan’s proposed project to increase their transport of diluted bitumen from the eastern Burrard Inlet to the Pacific Ocean offer risks that are many times higher than those accepted for other major infrastructure projects.

We love block parties. Our front-page story on the residents of Spruce Street in Burnaby pulling together a block party reminded us of just how much we love block parties.

Credit is due to federal and provincial governments this week after reaching a long-needed agreement on pension reform. Predictably, there have been critics since the plan for an expanded Canada Pension Plan was announced.
