With Thanksgiving approaching, teacher Derek Cockram asked his Grade 4/5 students at 12th Avenue Elementary School to write about what they felt thankful for.

The re-branding of the B.C. Liberal party into the "B.C. Christy" party has officially begun, but one has to wonder whether this is a case of too little, too late. The party now has a new logo that features, in large highlighted letters, "B.C.

Dear Editor: Well-known Burnaby Citizens Association partisan Gord Larkin has recently been in the local press criticizing Burnaby Municipal Green candidates for "attacking" the actions of city staff. Mr.

Presumably, the public is meant to assume that the throne speech is a map, an overview of the government's plans to do the business of the people.

The strength of the RCMP as a superior police force is in its anonymity. They all wear the same uniform. They all have the same training.

Imagine the impact of a 12 millionstrong army of people willing to do whatever it took to accomplish their mission? That's the power of volunteers in Canada. Recent estimates suggest there are as many as 12.

Dear Editor: I attended the public hearing on Tuesday, Sept. 20 regarding the redevelopment of the current Station Square site.

Dear Editor: As a parent of two students in secondary school, I have been appalled by the "information" being shared with my children regarding the teachers' current job action.

Dear Editor: Premier Christy Clark may have had to wait to launch her jobs plan, but it's been well worth waiting for. Especially the announcement of funding to help get Phase 1 of the Prince Rupert port expansion underway.
