The current Burnaby Lyric Opera production of Carmen has great staging and costuming, strong voices and choreography.

It has been a favourite children’s classic for generations, and now a stage adaptation is coming to the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr.

A classic comedy is returning to the stage, starring the talents of drama students from Burnaby Central Secondary. Drama teacher Carol Mann directs The Man Who Came To Dinner, the classic 1939 comedy by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart.

Some of the region’s top jazz musicians have found a home base in Burnaby, thanks to the efforts of a local church. Brentwood Presbyterian Church, in North Burnaby, offers regular Jazz Evensong evenings on Wednesday nights.
