Calling all filmmakers: The Vancouver Short Film Festival is seeking submissions for its 10 th edition, coming Jan. 25 and 26 to Vancity Theatre. Short-format filmmakers from around B.C. are invited to submit their work starting June 1.

The Burnaby Potters’ Guild has a cure for the summertime blues. The guild is holding its summer show and sale, Summertime Blues, on Saturday, June 8 at Capitol Hill Hall.

Get ready for summer fun on Burnaby Mountain. UniverCity is once again hosting its Summer Block Party series in the Town Square, and everyone’s invited to stop up and enjoy the fun. The weekly Wednesday events, which run from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You can treat yourself to an hour of comedy, thanks to the theatre program at Cameron seniors’ centre. What-a-Theatre is staging three comedies on Friday, June 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
