Celebrate a beer launch in Burnaby this April weekend.

It’s a hyperlocal Burnaby partnership for the books: Burnaby-based Studio Brewing and the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre have partnered up to create a yuzu rice lager.

While Studio Brewing is known for its German lagers, its new beer, called Genki Clear, is “brewed with yuzu peel and fresh pressed yuzu” for a “fresh spin on an already refreshing style.”

The partnership calls for celebration: the two groups are hosting a collab launch party on Saturday, April 8 at Studio Brewing’s home at 5792 Beresford St.

Nonnas Cucina will serve Italian street food from 1 to 6 p.m. and Rennie Foster will perform a DJ set from 5 to 7 p.m.
