Celebrate the stories of Chinese Canadians in Burnaby at this free event

Community members who shared their stories in the recent book 'Rooted' will be featured in a panel discussion.

The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts will host the Paul and Eileen Lin Commemorative Lecture this month.

A commemorative lecture is coming to Burnaby to honour the stories of local Chinese Canadian community members this month.

The 2024 Paul and Eileen Lin Commemorative Lecture will be held at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts on Jan. 25, co-sponsored by the Burnaby Village Museum and the Chinese Canadian Historical Society of BC.

A panel of community members will share their stories from the recently released coffee table book Rooted: Chinese Canadian Stories in Burnaby.

A limited number of in-person tickets are available, and there's also the option of watching online through Zoom.

Tickets are free.

Rooted is available for purchase for $39.95 plus tax at the Burnaby Village Museum gift shop during opening hours, at the museum’s administration building or by calling 604-297-4565.
