If the Grandview Steelers are going to give first-place Delta a run for their money, they need to keep on doing what they’ve done over the past month.

In a game seeded with emotion and purpose, the St. Thomas More Knights left everything they had on the B.C. Place turf Saturday. Although they fell 28-21 to the Terry Fox Ravens in the B.C.

There’s lots of empathy for the Surrey Knights hockey team – who are currently 0-for-82, with five overtime losses since November of 2015. But the Grandview Steelers weren’t about to show them any mercy last week.

The University of B.C. Thunderbirds achieved a school first, at the first national university championships in Guelph last week. The T-birds netted the first national title, besting the UVic Vikes 37-12 in the final.

If there were any concerns last week’s bye could have left the No. 2-ranked St. Thomas More Knights a little rusty entering Saturday’s Subway Bowl quarterfinal, they were quickly put to rest.
