B.C. New Democrats have been using their own coded political language for a while, but now they’ve put it in a pamphlet for internal use during the election campaign. It’s called the B.C.

I’m late to this, but the place with Burnaby’s biggest portions is open once again for sit-down service. So put on your stretchy pants and get ready to eat.

Life is hard enough dealing with COVID-19 without having to worry about the gross habits of others. If it was only about you wearing a mask, not touching your face and washing your hands, things would be simpler.

I wrote recently about a new SFU study showing the positive results of mandatory mask mandates. Fraser Health has come close to this, but stopped just short, as a memo leaked to the NOW reveals a mask “recommendation” for staff at Burnaby Hospital.

As we wade through this second wave of COVID-19 cases, I still find it curious how some Burnaby grocery stores make wearing a mask mandatory while others don’t.

You’d think a province that just plunged billions into debt due to a sudden global health emergency would be a little strapped for cash at the moment. But the parties vying to run B.C. are still promising vast sums of money to individual voters.

On Sunday, I posted a blog about my confrontation with an anti-masked in a Burnaby grocery store lineup. Not only was the man not wearing a mask, but he stood so close to me that I bumped him as I turned my body. You can read more here.

Well, Halloween is here soon - we just have to survive the B.C. election first. And while the U.S. election campaign has been scary enough, others will want to add a little more fear into their lives.
