Open letter to the parents of B.C. students, As a long-time educator, I find the lack of an online option in B.C.’s Back To School Plan extremely disturbing.

People still seem to have no clue about how much people are suffering financially due to COVID-19. I still see on social media talking about restaurants, for example, being in “good shape” just because they have reopened. Reopening is one thing.

A shocking thing happened earlier this week. B.C. health officials like Dr. Bonnie Henry finally treated us like grownups when it comes to COVID-19 data. Don’t get me wrong, Henry is doing a fine job of helping B.C.

Sometimes when the City of Burnaby fixes something, things feel so darn incomplete. Take the intersection of Holdom Avenue and Pandora Streets in Burnaby’s Capitol Hill area. The sidewalks leading into the crosswalk were terrible and needed fixing.
