A town hall set for this Wednesday for people who live and work on Burnaby Mountain is set to cover a lot of ground about the lack of emergency services in this community.

I can’t believe I have to write this column. I can’t believe I have to say such obvious things. But here we are.

I grew up in Burnaby with a terrible misunderstanding of what Asian food was and could be.

The Burnaby RCMP Traffic Services group is on a roll with nailing reckless drivers. May is called “high-risk driving” month and on Friday officers were out in force going after distracted drivers in Burnaby.

The traffic cops were set up outside the ferry terminal Friday afternoon, handing out lessons in patience one ticket at a time.

Laura-Lynn Tyler Thompson is heading to Alberta to run for the People’s Party of Canada in this fall’s federal election. Thompson, you might recall, ran in the Burnaby South byelection, as well as last October’s Burnaby School Board election.
