Dear Editor: Re: Mayor is out of touch, and Mayor is right on SkyTrain, Letters to the Editor, Burnaby NOW, July 2. The first letter, “Mayor is out of touch,” is in regard to washrooms at SkyTrain stations.

Dear Editor: Re: City, Kinder Morgan at odds over mountain, Burnaby NOW, July 23. The city council in Burnaby does not have a mandate from the people who live there to take a stand, one way or the other, on the expansion of the pipeline.

Dear Editor: Canadians understand that we must work together to benefit from our natural resources. Governments must make the necessary, sometimes difficult, decisions about the required infrastructure.

Dear Editor: Re: City, Kinder Morgan at odds over mountain, Burnaby NOW, July 23. Burnaby is not really serious about protecting the Burnaby Mountain Conservation Area.

Dear Editor: Re: Sled dogs need homes, Burnaby NOW, July 25 A word of caution about potential owners of the SPCA offered sled dogs. Huskies are not a social animal. They require lots of space and exercise.

There’s nothing quite like the August long weekend to inspire some serious warm weather enjoyment.

We’ve been sitting here in the newsroom, arguing about the First World War. Gads, I love irony. Stupid arguments is exactly what got that whole thing going.

You go away for a couple of weeks of rest and relaxation. You return to find your home has been burgled. That’s one surefire way to kill the post-vacation buzz pretty much instantly.

Dear Editor: Both Patrick Keogh and Ziggy Eckardt make it sound as if it’s a given that Stephen Harper’s Reformers are going to be in a position to approve anything after the 2015 election.

Dear Editor: I am surprised to read some letter writers who supported the expansion of the Kinder Morgan and criticized Mayor Corrigan’s oppositions to this project.
