Dear Editor, On Oct. 5, the Richmond School District recognizes and celebrates the many valued contributions that teachers make to public education and the lives of their students.

Burnaby’s fried chicken wars just got a little more crowded with the opening of a new restaurant two weeks ago. We have Church’s Chicken and Hi Five with multiple Burnaby outlets (do we count KFC in this conversation?).

Now that the NDP-Green ­partnership has exploded with the election call, a lot of ­accumulated resentment is spilling out. The first grievances had to do with Premier John Horgan’s betrayal of the B.C.

Look, I get it – we all love a long, leisurely meal once in a while in which the conversation flows into the night. But now is not the time to do that.

Transport Canada is no longer allowing passengers to stay in the cars on enclosed decks during crossings.

I’ve been involved with too many stratas in my lifetime for my liking … and my sanity. They can be vicious snake pits run by titanic egos.

I’ve gone out for lunch twice during the Monday-Friday work week recently and both meals were quite telling. One meal was at a big chain restaurant and the other was at a small, independent eatery.
