I had really hoped that social distancing in restaurants and pubs meant I didn’t have to hear other people’s conversations. Sadly, some people need to speak loudly enough that everyone can hear them.

Metro Vancouver is seeing a surge of cases involving young people and the reaction from people 30 and over has hilariously involved collective amnesia. What I mean is that people my age forget what we were like at the age of 20.

A group of Simon Fraser University in Burnaby recently complained about the impact the school’s move to online learning during COVID-19 would have on them. Burnaby’s coolest pub would likely have the same complaint as well.

Editor: The dooring of cyclists is totally preventable and never an "accident" - just another incident caused by careless drivers. If drivers adopted the practice of opening their doors with their right hand, most incidents would be prevented.

As September draws near, parents are left feeling uneasy as to whether or not their children should return to school given the current and ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Editor, I don't understand how parents' views are being gathered by the B.C. Ministry of Education or school boards in making their back-to-school plans .

Editor: OK, I've had it. Forest Grove Drive on Burnaby Mountain is being treated like a racetrack by too many people, too often. Some cars are speeding up to 25 or 30 km/h over the speed limit.

B.C. has made a major new commitment to one COVID-19 response tactic that suggests officials are more certain now that a surge in cases is coming this fall, if not sooner.
