When Bill Clinton first ran to become president of the United States, his campaign team had a simple slogan: “It’s the economy, stupid.” The slogan was designed to keep the team focused on that central issue.

I love Mexican food. I dream about the trips I used to take to San Diego, CA to visit my in-laws – not because I liked them, but because San Diego has amazing Mexican restaurants.

Editor: As a young indigenous woman, I am moved by the song Life of a Native by Okema. This song represents parts of what we have learned about culture conflict and speaks on many different subjects that revolve around being an Indigenous person.

Back in May of this year, I lamented in this blog the closure of one of North Burnaby’s oldest Italian restaurants, Romana. I felt this personally because I had grown up eating there on most Friday nights during my childhood.

Trees have been a hot topic during the federal election. The Liberals have promised to plant 2 billion trees, funded by revenues from the Trans Mountain pipeline if it ever gets built.

I’m angry today. I’m angry because there are so many terrible people in the world. Take, for example, a poor excuse for a human being who shot and starved a dog named Luna.
